World Pasta Day 2026

A year of MilleunaPasta: an ode to people, sacred gestures, and living culture

Oct 25, 2026

A sheet of pasta is lifted against the light. A chef tastes the filling once more. Someone opens a book and rediscovers, between the lines, the rising steam of macaroni. Within these images resides the year of Milleunapasta: the longing to pause before that which we have always known, and discover how much yet remains to be unveiled.

On Sunday, October 25th, World Pasta Day grants us the opportunity to gather the threads of this journey. A year spent listening to chefs, master sfogline and sfoglini, artisans, and families of pasta makers. A year dedicated to exploring the ideas taking shape in kitchens, the ancestral wisdom preserved in workshops, and the memories that continue to thrive through a recipe.

In the Stories, we examined the dialogue between technique and sensibility, between memory and invention. In Heritage, we encountered the patience of the craft: mastering a gesture, repeating it, imparting it to others; gathering a legacy and bequeathing it a tomorrow.

The Geographies of Pasta guided us through shapes, implements, and local names, revealing an Italy woven of minute distinctions. The Cenacle and the Readings of Pasta opened other portals: literature, history, and philosophy. Within those pages, pasta became yearning, belonging, a testament of power, an inquiry into happiness.

Looking back upon the year, the columns begin to converse with one another. The precision of a chef meets that of a pasta artisan. An intimate domestic memory transforms into a workshop recipe. A single pasta shape narrates a terroir; a written page revives an era.

It is within these resonances that we discern the true essence of Milleunapasta: dedicating reverence to a food so ubiquitous as to risk being taken for granted. Listening to its interpreters, honoring their craft, seeking the origins, and allowing one answer to give rise to yet another question.

To those who entrusted us with a story, and to those who paused to read it, we offer our deepest gratitude.

Her majesty, pasta, has above all brought us closer to humanity.

On October 25th, we celebrate it with our thoughts turned to all the hands through which it passed before gracing our plates. And to those hands that will learn the art tomorrow.
